More Snow!!?? Really???

I don't think it's ever going to stop snowing.  We are expecting some ice, some sleet, and lots of snow for the weekend.  I just want winter to be over so I can wear my flipflops!  My toes need to breath.

I have gotten to spend some time with my sweet little man!

Snow, Snow, and More SNOW!!!!

This snow seems to be never ending.  If I were younger I might enjoy it more.  I love the snow days but I hate to have to think about making them up.  We have now missed 9 days.  The state waived 2 for extreme cold.  We have 4 make-up days built into the school calendar.  We are giving up President's Day so now we are down to making up 2 days.  I really hate to think about going to school in June.  Probably won't have school again tomorrow.  Oh well, the dogs and I went out to feed the birds.  Bob was almost lost in it.

Have a great wintery day

Indiana Weather

In a word--the weather stinks!  This has been quite a winter so far.  Snow, snow and more snow.  Cold, boy has it been cold.  Got a 3 week Christmas vacation instead of 2.  I'm not complaining but that just means make up days at the end of the semester.  Now it's 2 hour delays.  Those I don't mind at all.  No call for tomorrow so I guess I will have to work all day.  Bummer.  I've managed to get a lot of sewing done.  I have 2 quilts that I need to get to Joanne in New Hampshire.  Borders to put on my daughter's wedding signature quilt but plenty of time for that.  The wedding is in August.  Lots to do.  Work is getting in the way.

Been Gone for A Long Time

Boy, has it been a while since I posted anything.  Life around here has been quite busy.  Son and daughter-in-law had a baby and sold their house all in the same month. (May)  Couldn't find a house they liked so guess where they moved?  That's right--in my little 2 1/2 bedroom house.  Son not only brought wife and 10 day old baby (cute as can be) but also 2 full grown labs.  I also have 2 dogs and a cat that refused to come in the house with all the dogs.  Fortunately mine were much smaller than the labs.  At that time my brother was also living with me.  We eventually scared him out to his girlfriend's house.  Needless to say it was very crowded.  But I loved every minute of it.  Now here it is November.  Son, wife and 6 month old little boy have found son's dream house--maybe not so much daughter-in-law's idea of the dream.  But it will eventually be great.  Brother is back part of the time.  So it is a little quieter.  But now daughter is engaged.  So the planning begins.  Daughter is a little anal and is already beginning to drive me crazy.  She's only been engaged a week!  But we will work through it.  I have finally had time to get back to some quilting.  Nothing to post yet but will be working on it.
